Washington, DC - The U.S. House of Representatives today passed H.R.1728, The Mortgage Reform and Anti-Predatory Lending Act of 2009, by a vote of 300 to 114 in an effort to stop the kinds of predatory and irresponsible mortgage loan practices that played a major role in the current financial and economic meltdown.

Brad Miller (D-NC) will attend the signing ceremony for the Omnibus Public Land Management Act today in the East Room of the White House at the invitation of President Barack Obama. Reps.
