Washington, D.C. - Rep. Brad Miller (NC-13) announced today that several law enforcement agencies throughout the 13^th District will receive $3.5 million in funding through the Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program administered by a division of the Department of Justice. The funding was approved in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act supported by Rep. Miller.

Washington, D.C. - Rep. Brad Miller (NC-13) announced today that he was able to help secure funding for the Triangle area in the FY09 Consolidated Appropriations Act which passed in the House to wrap up work on the fiscal 2009 appropriations bill. The bill now goes to the Senate, then to the President for his signature.

"This funding is a shot in the arm to help vital programs in our communities during a tough economy including gang prevention, increased access to healthcare, infrastructure improvements and innovation for job creation," said Rep. Miller.
